Biography
Fariz Ismailzade serves as Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy and Vice Rector for Government and External Affairs at ADA University. In the 2024 Azerbaijani parliamentary elections, he was elected as a member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where he currently serves as Deputy Chairman of the Science and Education Committee and a member of the Committee on Foreign and Interparliamentary Relations. At IDD, Dr. Ismailzade plays a leading role in shaping the institute’s strategy, implementing its Annual Action Plan, and strengthening cooperation with local and international partners. His academic and policy expertise focuses on Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, regional relations, Caspian geopolitics, international terrorism, and public diplomacy.
